Terms & Conditions

Last updated September 28, 2026

These terms govern your use of Altera ERP (the "Service"), an online business management tool for inventory, production, sales, purchasing and invoicing. The Service is provided by Altera Group of Machimbo Street, Tabata Chang'ombe, P.O. Box 79564, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania ("we", "us"). When you use the Service you are contracting with Altera Group. By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Accounts

You must be of legal age and, if you use the Service for an organisation, have authority to bind it. Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

2. Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan. You must not:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or for sending spam;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • interfere with the Service's security, including uploading malware, probing or scanning for weaknesses, or scraping;
  • reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service, or get around plan limits or other technical restrictions.

3. Your data

You own the business data you put into the Service. You give us a limited licence to host and process it only to provide the Service to you.

4. Intellectual property

Altera Group owns the Service and all related software, documentation and branding, including the Altera ERP name.

5. Plans, payments and subscriptions

Some features need a paid Pro or Business subscription. New businesses may receive a free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms.

6. Service level

We work to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, data or goodwill), and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously breach these terms, do not pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly break our policies. You may stop using the Service at any time. After your account ends, you can ask us to export your data within 30 days; after that it may be deleted.

9. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and its courts handle disputes. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not transfer your account without our consent. We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes. You can reach us at alteragroup.tz@gmail.com or write to Altera Group.
